“I am grateful and honoured to be part of this amazing journey with COTRUGLI Business school. For great professors we met, the friendships we made, and the knowledge we gained!”
After my bachelor’s in Microbiology and my Ph.D. in Biomedicine, I felt the need to broaden my horizon. While doing my Ph.D., I was already interested in business and economy topics. When the MBA opportunity emerged, it felt natural to go this path. I was fortunate with winning COTRUGLI MBA scholarship, and the program fitted my expectations and my schedule. Therefore, I grabbed this opportunity with both hands. Being a full-time employee in a pharmaceutical company Novartis and combining studies was not always easy. However, all sleepless nights, traveling, and hard work paid off. I’ve gained additional knowledge that I was seeking, but most importantly, I’ve met so many interesting people, from different countries, professions, and backgrounds. We’ve been sharing so many experiences and learning from each other. Since I spend a lot of time with my classmates, we bounded in a way that still keeps us in contact, even after we finished with studies. And the friendships we made are priceless.
On the professional side, the MBA opened for me new opportunities. Only a month after the graduation and receiving Dean’s award for Outstanding achievements, I moved from Slovenia to the Netherlands for a new challenge. I’ve been promoted to a leadership role in a Biopharmaceutical company, where I am still working. Today, as Head of Quality Control, I am leading the second-largest department on this site. I see that the experiences I’ve gained during my studies are helping me in my day to day work.
I am grateful and honoured to be part of this amazing journey with COTRUGLI Business school. For great professors we met, the friendships we made, and the knowledge we gained! Like Benjamin Franklin said: “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”
