Last weekend Executive MBA 16 generation attended its first module in COTRUGLI, Managerial Economics & Quantitative Methods. The EMBA 16’s first module was carried out by professor Anthony J. Evans, PhD. The focus of this module was to equip students with knowledge of fundamental principles of micro and macroeconomics and their relevance to management’s decision-making. It gave a basic understanding of fundamental techniques in quantitative and statistical analysis and their application to practical business situations.
Anthony J. Evans is professor of economics at ESCP Europe Business School. He was published in a range of academic and trade journals, such as Eastern European Economics, Constitutional Political Economy and The Review of Austrian Economics. In addition, professor Evans is the author of “Markets for Managers” and has co-authored a book “The Neoliberal Revolution in Eastern Europe: Economic Ideas in the Transition from Communism” was published in 2009 by Edward Elgar. He specializes in teaching Managerial Economics at the MBA and Executive MBA level. Combining lectures, case discussions and practical simulations strives to introduce future managers to the economic way of thinking. He received his MA and Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University and a BA from the University of Liverpool.
